CISF conducted  Joint Mega-Mock Exercise at JLN Metro Station

To check the operational preparedness of CISF and other sister
agencies, a Joint Mega-Mock Exercise was conducted by CISF at JLN Metro station. Teams of CISF, NDRF, NSG, DMRC, DDMA,
DMRP, Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Traffic Police and Delhi Police participated in the
The created situation warranted response from multiple agencies, the message was
flashed through District Administration to all concerned agencies as per National Disaster
Management Protocol. Accordingly, NSG, DMRP, DDMA, NDRF, Delhi Police reached
the spot and conducted a joint operation.
During the exercise, CISF as a first responder followed the security protocol and
evacuated the passengers with the help of DMRC staff and deployed its QRTs to contain
the situation. Within the time frame other teams of various stakeholders i.e. NSG, DMRP,
DDMA, Civil Defence and teams of Delhi Police i.e., Dog Squad, BDS team, Fire Service,
Traffic Police, Medical Services and Local Police also reached at the spot and participated
actively in rescue operation.
The exercise was duly completed using the established
protocols outlining the clear charter of duties of each agency in a seamless coordinated
manner. The CBRN (Chemical Biological Radioactive Nuclear) situation was contained
and situation was brought under control.
In this mock exercise, about 500 personnel from different agencies participated
(CISF-124, NSG-168, NDRF-40 and other agencies including Delhi metro and local
police-168). A K Pateria, IPS, ADG, CISF, Brig, Gautam Ganguly, NSG,  Sudhir
Kumar, IG, CISF, NCR Sector, Raghubir Lal, IPS, DIG, DMRC and other senior
officers of CISF and other agencies were present to coordinate and supervise the exercise.
After completion of exercise the participated teams were de-briefed by the senior officers
of CISF and other agencies.
According to Hemendra Singh, Assistant Inspector General of CISF, Officers present at the location decided to conduct more such type of exercises in
near future at other important locations to further improve the inter agency Coordination
and response.
